Geoffroy Hall is the newest residence hall on campus. The eight story building has 14 houses (784 beds) on the upper seven floors. The double-occupancy student rooms are large, have solid-surface flooring and include a set of furniture for each resident. Each set includes a lofted bed, desk, desk chair, wardrobe with hanging space and drawers and a waste basket. Two of these furniture sets are in each room.
Each house has two bathrooms. Sinks are in one area with fully-enclosed toilet rooms and fully-enclosed shower rooms that have a place for changing. Each house has a den as well as additional common space throughout the hallways. The two houses on each floor are connected by a 'front porch.' This gathering space is right off the main elevators.
The main floor has over 15 study rooms, the hall desk, a lounge, an activity room and a kitchenette. The lowest level has a large laundry room.
New-to-ISU students can preference Geoffroy Hall as part of their housing application process. Current students can select Geoffroy Hall as part of spring preferencing or as part of recontracting.
